    ABIT IP35 Pro LAN problems

I have recently bought an ABIT IP35 Pro motherboard and I can not get the on board LAN to work. I have installed the drivers that come with the board, and although it syas that they are installed I still can not see the LAN connections not even in device manager.

I have tried manually installing the network card but when the process complete it says that the drivers have been installed but that they may not work and shows a code 10 stating that this device cannot start.

The board works fine I have even done a clean insall of Windows XP but this didn't make a difference. It is also not detecting any of my PCI cards.

    Can anyone help me?
Any help would be grealy appriciated.
    Thanks

Your post suggests that the board is anything but working fine...

Have you rebooted after installing the drivers? Description of Code 10-related errors that Device Manager generates on Windows XP-based computers points strongly to it being a wonky driver. Uninstall the NIC through device manager, reboot and cancel when the new hardware detected wizard starts, then install the driver from

The mentioning of PCI cards is concerning though - what cards do you have? Have you checked in the BIOS? You shouldn't really have to muck around setting IRQs in this day and age...

I have checked the BIOS all the LAN ports are enabled. I have also uninstalled rebooted the machine and re-installed the software but still no luck and the network device is still not showing up in the device manager.

The only PCI cards that were in the machine are a DAB card and an IDE Raid card to connect additional drives.

I have looked on the internet and have only found one other reference with similar problems.

I'm leaning towards a duff board...

Have you tried a BIOS flash?

Did you manage to solve it? Im having code 10 problem when upgrading from Microsoft stock driver in Vista SP1 X64 to Realtek latest. Im thinking of flashing the bios now simply because the current Microsoft one keeps giving me BSOD.
