nope, using open dns here and it will time out for me.

There was a problem two or three years ago when a block of IPs used by cable customers were released for re-use. many of these were blacklisted and it caused many problems for people who had one of the IP addresses. It could be a legacy from that, but it is only wild speculation, and I can't remember all the details.
