Network Toolkit (Software)

Is there a network toolkit of software which is generally considered better than any other? I'm particularly interested in traceroute, ping, dns lookup, port scan, and packet sniffing.

Can anyone recommend something?

I tend to use SamSpade for windows for DNS stuff and the odd traceroute linky

and for port scanning I use nmap download link

I'm kinda assuming you mean windows programs?

For pinging, whois, traceroute, and DNS lookup, I've used UOTrace for the last few years (since I used to play uo!). You can just enter a custom IP if you don't fancy pinging Ultima Online servers, of course:
