    Re: My Homeplug setup. Will this work?

    I am planning to go under the carpet using this flat cable for my room. But I suppose for the HTPC I can go along the ceiling down the stairs... hmmm that might work well

    Main PC needs little slow down (fast pings for gaming).
    Main PC to NAS needs uber speeds cos I am an impatient git.
    Hello,

    I have a very similar system which works great. My Homeplugs are from Devolo, the dLAN AV200 (plug version). My setup is as follows:

    Living Room - XBox360 + Topfield PVR/Slug -> Netgear GB Switch -> Homeplug
    Hall - DSL Modem/Router -> Homeplug
    Office - PC + NAS + Old laptop -> Netgear GB Switch -> Homeplug

    All devices can see each other and the speed is good between devices. From my PVR/Slug to my PC, I'm getting around 650Kb/sec, with the main bottleneck being the performance of the Slug device.

    The only caveat is that my home is recently built (around 3 years old) so the wiring is good.

    Hope this helps!
