    Netgear GS105

Anyone had any problems with these? I have a couple and while both run hot, one of them seems to lock up and block all network traffic. This has become more frequent with the recent warm weather. I think I'll be RMA ing shortly, but wondered if anyone else had had similar problems?

I'm using 2 of them at home and have been for around 6 months, not in particularly well ventilated areas, and they've been fine. They're warm to the touch but not Hot.

Sounds like you may have a faulty one

Yes, I'v got two, I'll disconnect the suspect one and just try the other, and see what happens - but I'm pretty sure it is dodgy.

    Thanks!

Problem solved - the suspect switch was removed and the problem happened again - caused by a computer problem - yet to be resolved - but the Netgear unit is fine!

I've got a GS108, GS105 and a bunch of GA311 giga pci cards and they are rock solid, never had any problems with any of them in 3 years - would recommend them without a seconds hesitation.

Yes - I wrongly suspected the switch - turned out to be something else on thecomputer.
