What router is a good upgrade from the linksys WAG354G?

    Hey guys,
I might need to get a new router, and I will be on bethere soon, so with that in mind, I was wondering if you could recommend me an upgrade to my current one. I dont use wireless so that doesnt need to be included and as for the other features, pretty much the same as this one - 4 ethernet ports, NAT, port fowarding etc.

I would like for it to still be a linksys one as they are top notch.
As for £, about £40-50 is the budget.

    Thanks

What's wrong with the one you have?

Apart from the fact its not mine and will be taken away < main reason, we believe there to be a problem with the concurrent TCP/IP connections - the router seems to not be able to handle the amount we have coming in and 'bottlenecks'. Sometimes our connection drops too due to this. Very annoying when you are downloading.

That's a given for any embedded router, space is limited so they can only do so much at the same time. But Netgear routers are known for handling high connection counts well. I had a DG845G that stayed online for a year straight, it would have made two years but I shuffled my room around and bumped the firmware version while I was at it. It dealt with hundreds of connections fairly well. That was a 2nd revision though, I'm not sure how much different the 3rd revision is. Of course there's newer models that can scale higher connection counts, but I can't comment on stability.

Most people seem to rate the NETGEAR DG834GT has a notch one

Get a sky branded one and re flash it with the current uk firmware
