    VPN Passthrough with WG614v9

    Hi,

I'm setting up a VPN at home, using the above wireless router attached to my Virgin Media modem. I'm using Checkpoint VPN-1 SecureClient, but it only works if i'm directly connected to the modem. Does anyone know of a way to get the router to pass through the tunnel? I know it doesn't offer passthrough as standard but was wondering if there was a 'work around'...

    Cheers

    Edit: Sorry, should be WGR614v9...

I did forward it, but maybe I've got the server IP wrong. I've put it in as the 192 address of the computer at my end, which was assigned by the DHCP on the router.

dont use DHCP for port forwarding, if the DHCP lease runs out and the DHCP assignes a new IP it will no longer be the IP that you have forwarded to.

You are correct on the forwarding though, forward it to the internal 192. address. Just make sure its a static IP.
