    Domain Management and Hosting

I know its a subject that comes up from time to time, but just briefly after peoples thoughts on hosting companies.

I currently have three domains, linking to two websites, all through 123reg. Making use of web and email forwarding and a hosting package that offers 100mb of hosting space and 1.5gb of traffic for £2.50 a month (times two).

This works ok, however i am in the process of rewriting the website and adding a large archive of historic photographs which when complete will massively exceed 100mb (which i have already hit) and probably the 2gb space offered by the next price hike in hosting fees. However due to the nature of the site (small specialist interest site, with large photo repository) the bandwidth will not come close to the amount of webspace required given conventional packages. And although anything is possible, I dont really want to setup my own webserver with a large hdd (hassle) so am looking for other options for hosting

I also have a friend of mine wants to purchase a domain name and setup a website and i dont want to suggest she setup through 123reg if there are better options.

    Cheers, Daniel.

Why not host the images on somewhere like flikr then embed them in each site?

Why not get a package for about £15 a month and host both sites on the same package?

I have thought about that, well, having the site link to a photobucket account. But embeding them induvidually seems a lot of work for what it is (there are a lot of photos, maybe 4000, to start with)

I have looked at having single hosting package, which would be fine (not all will support two domannames with one account) but as the basic package is only £2.50 the second site isnt really an issue anyway.
    - Its more that i can have 100mb/1.5gb for £2.5, 2gb/15gb £5 and 5gb/50gb for £9. But really want 5gb and 100mb for £4.

Maybe its not a bit deal, but i was just wondering if anyone knoew anywhere that did such a package, and what the general consesus was about 123reg.

    Daniel
