    virgin media

just coming to the end of my 12 month contract, unlike most people pretty happy with connection quality and service

but has anyone have any luck ringing up and 'considering leaving to another provider' and getting speed upgraded etc, because i'm on 10Mbps and 20Mbps would be more appropriate for my needs

After having the top VM TV package for years with V+ etc and then going over to Sky+ HD I would never ever go back to VM, their service is poor when put next to Sky+ HD

    nice one!!

i'm on the L BB, M TV, M Phone (phone not even used, just have it because bundle was cheaper)

was hoping to possibly get BB to XL (20mbps) for free or nominal charge, i'll get back here with how it goes

and yeh alot of people complain about virgin but mostly i can't fault them at either of my addresses, maybe i'm just lucky (other than low bandwidth limits)

I have been happy with Virgin ( was with ntl before) About a month back I upgraded to the 10mbps line (was on the old 2mbps before), and i was offered the 10+mbps. It woudl have cost me £5 extra a month but got a £13 discount

Well worth a try and see what they say!! I would not think they want to loose customers atm!

    1. have all ur info ready, account number and password (if you have it), otherwise you'll need to know which bank pays the bill etc.
    2. look up what package you could get now with virgin for similar cost, and what sky would give you for similar price etc.
    3. ring up on 150 on ur home phone and go to service about making changes to your account
    4. just explain to the person after giving all ur info that you want to be upgraded to the appropriate level and price so your getting a good deal

i'm sure you could get better deal if u pretended you were thinking of leaving etc. but i'm happy with what i got and only took 2 minutes

that's exactly what i had though and they sorted me out!

to get 20mb/s, medium tv and medium phone is 20 quid for new customers, don't see why they should charge you 31 as an old customer
