iirc your computers hard drives are not shared by default excepting the 'shared documents folder' which is open when you turn on file and printer sharing (run XP's wizards and whatnot).Originally posted by TomWilko

You share individual folders rather than drives - although you can do drives in the same way as a folder if you wish (like if you want to share a dvd drive). You could password protect/make hidden/encrypt subfolders if you wished.
