ICS over 3 pcs

My mate is trying to share his internet over 3 pcs in his house. He used to have it set up with a pc downstairs as the host and another upstairs as a client. he's now connected the other pc upstairs to the client, but he cant get them all online. he's using windows xp internet connection sharing on bt yahoo broadband. any suggestions?
