Software Deployment in Windows 7

More fun today, some help would be greatly appreciated.

Added a Windows 7 machine into one of the workstation groups, which has various GPOs attached to it. When I log into the machine as administrator and run gpresult /z I can see the software installations streaming down the page, registering as assigned, but none of them have actually been installed.

I've had a look on the net and haven't found any documentation regarding problems with software deployment on Vista/7 so I've got no idea why it isn't installing. Any thoughts?

We have some Windows 7 boxes and Software Deployment has been fine. Is there anything in the error logs of the Win 7 PC?

Look into synchronous foreground policy refresh and the gpupdate /force command

Your research should resolve the "6 reboots" problem you are having

It was weird though, all of the policy information was appearing under gpresult /z - it just didn't kick in during bootup until the 6th time.
