Yes you could say that! This thing is awful and keeps crashing, it's had it's chance's and honestly i've not got the time to be messing about so going out to grab something else shame as it worked really well when it did work!

That's how he got into this situation - the Thomson box provided by O2 ain't giving him great performance, so he's looking for alternatives.

I think I said it before, but the Draytek Vigor 2820N is a rock solid piece of kit. Sadly it's going to be well out of Razer's price range as well as being massive overkill. Within budget the Linksys WRT54G is pretty highly regarded, but then so is the Netgear DG834G that he's having issues with. My personal advice at this juncture (if you still have the Netgear) would be to figure what your problem is - it's likely that it's a configuration problem rather than anything else. Hell, if it helps I'll offer my services in a Teamviewer session or similar.

No i've already sent the netgear back it was deffinatly the router itself, was an overheating issue and every time it got hot, connection played up.

I've decided to start going through different routers and do remember i now have a higher budget thanks to mother dearest so there is £70 from mum, and i could easily stretch to £60 myself so now i have a budget of £130

But before i go splashing out alot of money i thought i would give the ASUS brand ago, what with there "EX" tech aswell as fairly good reviews.

I will update in the next few days...

Sadly £130 *just* leaves the 2820N out of reach for you
