    Virgin Media mass slow down

Had Virgin Media installed about a month and a bit ago, and recently as in this week i have experienced massive slow down, including outside of the throttling hours virgin media give.

I was getting 19mb of the 20 i pay for all day including peak time 2 weeks ago and I ping of 40, now im getting pings of 300+ and speed of around 7mb... any ideas?

    Thank you.

Maybe over subbed area, I had the same issue, 20mbps off peak less than 0.5mbps on peak.

ouch... yer possibly, i guess the reason peak being worse could be due to students moving back in, only explanation, i may give virgin media a ring and see what they say.

virgin have terrible customer service, once you sign up they don't care

i had massive problems in my area due to them overloading the network, they kept on saying 'we're experiencing higher than normal loads on our local network', just like "well if it's 'higher than normal' ALL THE TIME then when will it be normal?" lasted about 12 months i think

they eventually upgraded local box and has been perfect since
