    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...looks like I may have to requistion some more space.

    Seriously though, thanks for all your help guys. One more thing, I want to connect my main rig to 2 televisions (one lounge, one kitchen). Both televisions are at least 10m from the computer. Can I do this using Cat5 to any sort of device that will then allow me to utilise the usb or hdmi sockets in the back of the tellys? Or will it be the case of a small form computer connected to the network and plugged into the TV?
    Of course I'm perfect you just need to lower your expectations.

    certainly there are devices that claim that...

    I must confess, I put into a 10m HDMI cable as well as all the cat 5e cables and I am actually using that

    quieter - I couldn't hear the disk in my popcorn hour any more
