I have 2 computers at home. One in my room, one in my brothers room. There are several thick walls between my room and my brothers room, so I am going to make a non-wireless network.

This network will be used to transfer files, share the internet, share the printer and play online multiplayer games.

Some of the online multiplayer games I will be playing, do not allow two connections with the same IP address to play. Whats the best way to get around this?

What layout and equiptment (Modems, routers, switches, hubs, wires) do you recemmend?
