    Unhappy ADSL router

Guys - I'm having a TOTAL mare with my router.. it just locks up every couple of months or so and I have to factory reset it. I've got a D-LInk DSL504, which is good when it works... but last night gawd I could have kicked it out of hte window tbh.

I need a new one. One that's easy to set up me = nub, and that won't see as many crashes as a vehicle testing centre in a month.. has a built in switch (I only have 3 machines running on it, so it don't have to be big), and preferably, not too hard on the pocket. Recommendations?

    Has always served me well.
I think Flash will agree as well.

Too many DNS requests locking the router up Tumble as I had same problem.

    Fix - http://www.dlink.com.au/tech/drivers..._Proxy_DNS.pdf

Since doing this I havent had 1 lockup

Cheaper than buying a router as it only takes up 5 mins of your time and costs £0

Edit - remember you need to SAVE the changes then reboot the router to make it take full effect

Quick question about the ebuyer router, does it allow you to forward a range of ports to a machine?? My old router only allows you to do upto 15 and they are indevidual, ie you cant tell it to forward all ports between 8000 and 8020.
    cheers

You have to forward the ports individually. Don't know if there is any maximum number

No you dont, some routers offer ranges i.e. 8000 - 8999. Its just the case that some cheaper routers onlly allow single port forwarding upto a max of 20 ports

    e.g. the Origo 8400
