    Some Networking Help Please!

    People,
I currently have two rigs, one desktop and one laptop. They both have wireless and standard networking capabilities.

Currently I have both of them connected to the wireless router (wirelessly) and then I have networked them both together (crossover cable).

I wondered whether this is the way you would of done this or is there a better way?

Also I use Microsoft Outlook to collect my emails, what would be the best way to configure that across both computers? Then a simlar question with regard to msn messenger.

Thank you to all who view and espiciallly those who respond.

first of all if you have them both networked wirelessly to the router, why do you need to x-over cable between, YOU DON'T.

secondsly messenger just requires a hotmail account and passoword it is transferrable between comps, but you cant use it on both @ the same time.

As for outlook, check who ur provider is as they might offer a web based service, if not afaik outlook has a web based mode which should work across both.
