Is that the C9? Online is showing it @ £109.99
No, it's the RT-ac87u
Sorry, just realised how that could be confusing.
I was wanting to know if the C9 was the same specs as the VFR900, but the visit to PC World was for the Asus one. Which they didn't have...
The C9 is £99.99 on Amazon, might go for that if I can't get an Asus
Well, aren't PC World's telephone people a bundle of joy? They really don't want to let me reserve this.
First they try to say that if it's not on the website you can't order it. Then if you say 'I don't want to order it, I want to reserve it', the begrudgingly say 'OK, I'll call the branch'. Then can't get through and tell you to call back again.
That TP-Link's looking more and more attractive...

Search PC World & it gives you branch numbers

Right. Rather than faff with PC World, I think I'll just get it from Amazon. They've got it on a lightning deal for £118. I'd rather get that than spend Sunday traipsing round PC World stores in West London to be told by a dull-eyed assistant "No, we ain't got none".

No worries, glad someone else could take advantage of the deal...
So all set up now, didn't realise I could get same day delivery where I live, but apparently you can.
So, what does the merlin firmware give you over the standard Asus one? I've downloaded the latest from Asus which says it's this year, and I notice the latest Merlin one is from late last year...
Latest beta is this week https://www.mediafire.com/folder/bkf...Asuswrt-Merlin
Merlin gives a lot more control & tweaks over asus along with a lot of fixes Asus have yet to add into the current official releases.
