Bulldog Sales Men?

I've just had the most werid talk with what i belive are sales men of Bulldog they had tags on them saying "Bulldog Something" not sure what the something was anyway my father who answered the door just stold there looking at the hole thing and i was like arent you gonna open it or is it one of them dumb kids knocking on peoples doors he replied with its 2 men he said what the heck do they want so he answered the door and they were asking him what ISP he used he was like errrr my son knows all about that stuff so i answered and the plot thickens....

They asked me what ISP i use what type of speeds i am getttting from them they said "well we are the ONLY ISP offering 4mbit" i was like eh what the hell you talking about i swear cable offers 4mbit and ukonline offers 8mbit in my head that is and then other guy laughed when i said 1mbit at £28 i was like why the hell is he laughing they then said they had 4mbit at £40 and then started asking questions about ukonline offering 8mbit they then replied to me that ukonline is only for business i would need to be a business to get that i have not checked that infomation yet but if they are wrong are they not breaking some type of law?

Then i said to him to get the guy off my back so i could enjoy my kebab so i said well i have heard that your custermor support is rubbish people got redirected to the reception and people where dropping their connection and having slow speeds he then said "we are glad you know this and then blad blad blad we have changed now we have now moved to holborn the other building went out of business so we had to move to holborn"

I was like alright then ill look in to it cuz my kebab looked loney LOL and the guys just walked away.

One question i would like to ask is has anyone esle been offered this at their doorstep? and also when they were talking about ukonline is it true that ukonline only offers to business and you need to be a business to get the 8mbit?

Anyway i am gonna get a cola too much typing after a nice kebab

lol well it was well werid for a isp to do it becasue i have never heard of isp sales men that come to peoples doorsteps i hear about aol and their discs bahhh

Weird stuff! I wouldn't have even answered their questions if they'd asked me. I probably would've said, "what business is it of yours?" followed shortly by a not-so-polite "go away!".

Saying that though, I'm with Bulldog and I don't have any speed problems or dropouts. (fingers crossed)

naw, i only get mormons on my doorstep really :/

as for ukonline, they offer 8mbps to anyone who has the pockets for it.. business or personal.

thou as far as i know only london exchanges are enabled atm.

Wasn't doorstep salesmanship banned?.. something to do with them being a plain annoyance.. (cataloges, questionaires and charity is ok). maybe im wrong, but im pretty sure.

Anyway, if Bulldog salesmen called to my door i'd tell em i got an O/C-192 pipe (I wish, but it would throw them) and politely to **** off.. aghm.
