what virus software for network (buying)

I've Been using AVG free editon for about 5 years, but now that i have a 3 pc Domian network etc, its not really up to it (you can use AVG free on a server OS)

    - so im gunna splash out of some AV software, but i dont know what to get?

Should i stick with AVG, and get there pro ver?
    - or should i get norton, or what??

Also, same for firewallage, i used ZoneAlarm, and then sygate, but if i where buying, what should i get?

Panada Titanium is good, or I recently bought PC Cillin internet security 2005, and it seems very nice easily up to the job.

We put all our copies of Panda in the bin lol, especially when one of the versions is listed on the Microsoft site as an unstable driver...

We are now using Etrust, uses next to no resources at all, infact its been better the Sophos & we are a reseller lol!

V cheap to get & its one copy for anything you want to use it on, so you choose either pc or server when you install it.

why not ? I've put out a fair few versions of AVG Network Edition to clients and I'm pretty happy with it.

I personally like McAfee for networks, in larger enviroments you'd use their ePolicy Orchestrator.. Which will install it's client to each workstation you ask it to install to, then do all the policy stuff for you and also do all the updates.. It even lets no stop people disabling it

On a network of your size you just want to have 3 copies and setup a mirror repository. What this basically is, is a folder on one of your computers where that machine will do to the McAfee update site download any new def's, or super Def's and then you tell the other PC to look into that repository instead of going out to the internet.. A bit like MS's Systems Updating Service... but with out the need for a server (very losely like SUS... extremely losely!)

Even thou Norton is $%*& (insert own 4 letter word)... let's see bloatware, outofdateware, ancient technology..... OH and a memory hog.. it's server implementation is pretty good... it's easy to use... but still has the sample issues as the standard one...

IMHO stick to McAfee.. or if you don't want to have a one machine update system i'd use Command Antivirus by (Authenitum... it's quick and not even remotely memory or CPU intensive.

Keep us informed of your choices, and how the setup went
