I feel the neeed for speeeed :)

    'Sup folks

I've just gone and upgraded my 2 Mb link from bulldog to their new 4 Mb with free UK local and national calls from the line that is no longer tied to BT

"Your mad" I hear you cry....

Yes I am... I need the speed and my pings in game should be better as the upload is going to be 400k as opposed to 300k so that should shave 1 ms off as well.

To top this all off... its not going to hurt my wallet that much as at the moment I pay 29.99 for a 2 Mb line and then 10 pounds to BT for the line. The costs for the LLU line with bulldog FREE calls and 4 Mb UNLIMITED adsl....

a staggering 39 pounds a month. BARGAIN or what

Roll on switch-over day I cannot wait

So did I but they've been working hard and LLU'ing a lot of exchanges and it looks like most of manchester is in fact LLU'ed just by inputting various 0161 xxx xxxx combinations

will be upgrading to Bulldog 4meg service in the summer. after ive moved house. unfortunately they will have probably put the price back up by then .

still ill be able to scrap the BT line, so will save a tenner on line rental anyway.

Firsly , good luck. Whilst most their LLU implementations have been good, the company itself (CS wise and such) havent been so great.

Secondly, pings are not dependant on upload speed, but on the actual network itself. So I'd doubt you'd see any decrease, although may be better performance on LLU.

    2 Meg Down , 512 up.
Latency seems pretty nice ( 10 ms to google )

I'm tolk the fibre can do up to 33 Meg but I can't see that happening for a while.

Im on the cable and wireless optical backbone in London, i downloaded soap sdk today from msdn, 3.9mb in 1 second. According to adslforum my download bandwidth is about 7mb/second!

Havent played any games yet but should be pretty good..

Take a look at adslforum to get your bandwidth specs!
