    Question Home Network help plz

I have a Linksys BEFSR41 4-Port Cable/DSL Router that sares the NTL 756k Connection. My problem is that now both my daughters have web-cams they are causing lag for my online gameplay!

How can I configure my system to give me priority or whatever it takes to restore my non laggy gameplay

I have a spare 2.4Gh rig that is doing nothing, could that be of some use? Possibly as a smoothwall (whatever that is!)?

Am I better off using a Gateway?

    Ur help truly appreciated

A webcam shouldn't cause too many problems with lag. How often are they set to refresh? You NTL connection should be 2MB by now as they have just upgraded everyone on 768K to 2MB free of charge. If not give CS a ring and get them to do it for you.

Setting up a gateway is one option, smoothwall or a FreeBSD box with IPWF configured appropriately would do the trick. Obviously the easiest option is to reduce the refresh on the webcams or turn them off when you're gaming.
