    help, buffalo NAS issue

    hi

a friend of mine has a buffalo nas drive connected to his network. he has two pc's, an old one and a new one. his old one picks up the nas on navigator 2 software, browse shares the folder etc without issue. its on windows 10 2004.

his new machine has the same, 2004, and his navigator 2 software sees the nas but cannot browse the folders.

we have checked all sharing settings and they are the same.

would anyone know what to do? scratching our heads!

You getting an error of any sort?
Its not something daft like the NAS is using the older SMB and he needs to add the service/feature on the new machine?

it was all to do with SMB's and mapping the drive. you also need to create windows credentials too.
