Telephone exchange locations?!?!?!

shame the 21CN is scheduled for 2011 tho..

I think a lot of exchanges are slated for 2011 as that is the deadline for final roll out. I guess if BT don't have a definative date for the changover, they will just list it as 2011.

Yeah, the exchange in my mother's town is slated for 2009, so it does seem that the 2011 date is a deadline, many exchanges have already been done.

and you better not be talking about secret information & doing dodgy deals etc when the new 21CN is fully implemented lol, being as all voice calls will then be connected via data streams using a private IP address range (not via internet though so some privacy guaranteed) but under the new government regs, all phone companies etc are obliged to store all information from phone calls, and the law enforcement agencies can listen in or tap your phone calls far easier and far cheaper than they can now. txt messages already have to be stored for so many months.. although currently a court order is required for police etc to get access to them.. the new regs for the 21CN though are different, and the claim is that it will be used solely for prevention of terrorism (yeah right, if you believe that you'll believe owt)
