    Wifi Network Range...

We've got another warehouse at work but its a good 600m away, has no phone line or other way of connecting it to the existing buildings.

However, it is in line of sight so I was thinking maybe I could use wireless...

Now all of our existing AP's are wired into the LAN but with this presumably I'm going to be needing some sort of directional antenna or boost of some description...

    Ideas/suggestions people?

You will need some external antenna's of some description as wireless slows right down when the signal gets weaker and weaker and its gets a pain disconnecting and connecting over and over again.

Directional antenna are your best bet - simply aim them at each other and voila - jobs a good 'un and the signal should be good enough

[SIDE NOTE]To show the degradation - The router is in my room and when in the Garden the signal is only good enough to support 1-3 Mb/s

Distance between Router & Laptop = less than 20m through 2 walls.

I have used http://www.pcupgrader.com/dept.asp?id=441 for networking equipment before...
Get some high gain directional aerials and you'll be fine...I would have thought.
