    wireless is for laptops/pdas/tablets... i've always said that (well originally just laptops, others wern't around!). I used to say, in the same room as the AP, now its so much harder

    That compact one is silly, you want an adjustable ariel. I have this really old (soon to be added to the spares box) wireless 802.11b one, which is smaller than that. I had that first 802.11b AP made by SMC, it died some 3 years later, SMC sent me this one instead, the person on the phone congratulated me on having the original one, saying that they only sold < 1,000 of them.

    but the price of the MIMO gear at present, i'd rather have 2 access points, enless your going to be constantly moving between them. MIMO dosen't give enough range increase for the dosh (IMHO )

    thou we all agree CAT5e is the best, with a managed switch too

    Cheapest APs only are around £20-£40 - try a quick google search...
