My wireless router (dlink DI-614+) was working fine (apparently)
when it suddenly stopped working.

Normally M1 is lit along with WAN and WLAN and the connected ethernet
ports. However now M1 is off and M2 is lit and its like it is constantly
trying to connect.

Initially when the power was turned off and on it wouldnt come on right
away and then when it did it would do that before settling down.

I thought i had sorted it when i flashed the firmware, which sorted the
delay in coming on, but it didnt fix it completly. Then i took out the ethernet cable
between the pc and router and put another one in, strangly this worked.
But when i put the old one back in again it was ok. The old one had been
unplugged and plugged in again several times before.

Now though its doing the same thing.

Which leads me to three potential faults,

the router is knackered,
the ethernet card is on the fritz,
or NTL have changed something and caused a rift between the modem and
router.

has anyone else had or seen a similar problem with a router?
