    Weird NTL problem

3 members of my family all with NTL and all routered up. And all showing the same problem.

Linksys WRT54g in Ilford. Linksys BEFSR41 in Dagenham. D-link 614+ in Highams Park.

I can get any of the routers to connect for around a day and then they refuse to see anything at all. The puters can connect ok to the routers but not get onto the net in any shape or form. All the puters can connect to the net ok if the NTL cable is piped in directly to them.

At first I thought it was a Linksys problem but then I got the call for the D-link. NTL rightly refuse to get involved with 3rd party kit.

Now I've had the chance to run the BEFSR41 in the 2 other locations and it connects straight away with no problems. I didn't have the chance to leave it for a "soak test" at either place because the kids want on the net all the time.

Has anyone else seen something like this? I'll admit I'm a bit stumped. And I'm currently thinking maybe its NTL's proxies or maybe the DHCP timing out on a refresh.

reset all of the routers using the master reset switchon them and then use these settings
    Code:
    Internet IP Address

    Get Dynamically From ISP

    Domain Name Server (DNS) Address

    Get Automatically From ISP

    Router MAC Address

Use MAC Address of this computer
these are from my netgear router and i have never had a problem

also reset all of the cable modems see if that helps
