    any diy nas boxes for sata drive that hold atleast 2 drives ?

    i will be doing raid 1 with 2 of the new seagate 750gb drives but would like to add another 2 so i have more space than i will ever need with just 4 drives for power and space reasons

    oh must be gigabit compatable

    Scan's website has a fat load to choose from - I'd be surprised if there wasn't anything to fit what you need... ^_^

    yeh i was lookin at scan but they say there limited to 400gb or 500gb but i want a pair of 750's dont want to make that kind of investment and not have it compatable, although i dont see why it wouldnt be but it would just be a majour pain in the arse !

    Mobo manufacturers do the same. I bet if you look at just about all the current boards, they only start hard drive support up to 400 or 500gig.

    The drives should work fine, the only issue would be the handling of volumes over 2TB, which with RADI-5 with 4 dives could be a problem. Although having said that, with the overhead of a file system and the difference between 750gibibytes (that right) and 750gigabytes you probably wouldn't loose that much in capacity if the system does limit you to 2TB. Just depends of how well in units software will handle this.
