Moving house with BE

My ISP should be switched over to BE today However I'm wondering just how good/bad is the standard wireless router they provide? It's a thompson, and I'd imagine would not be as good as my current netgear router. Any opinions as to whether the thompson is up to scratch, especially transmitting through walls?

I'm thinking of moving from Zen - Hummm

Is anyone with BE there already, I want to know if they have a true no capped policy. I've read the web site etc stating they have no fair usage policy etc but have found from previous experience of Plus net ( Grrrrrr ) etc they can change their mind and start to limit your downloads.

With Zen on 1Mb at the mo and I can download as much as I want ( around 200Gb per month) but need ADSL 2 to get higher speeds due to my line length.

I've downloaded over 500GB in a month, absolutely no limits what so ever. It's difficult to just leave it there doing nothing now, I almost HAVE to download something just to utilise the line! I've found the support to be excellent too, plus you have the benefit of the extra speed. I live over a mile from the exchange yet still manage 15Mbps down and 2Mbps up (measured).

I moved house with Be.

Basically they charged me the cancelation fee, and for the modem.

They then refunded both 1 week later when i got the line activated at my new place. Considering how difficult it was to get the ADSL marker cleared that was left by the previous owner, Be where really good about this.

Its a bit of a chore for them not to extend you the credit line, but if your moving within a week its hardly like it matters.
