    Website problem

    Hi all

Right basically my net is fine and everything, i can connect to all webpages apart from one, being www.hi5.com
This was really odd i just thought there server was down but its not as its been happening ever since the weekend, i just needed to change some stuff on there but now cant. Im on BT broadband 2mb connection, no firewall either. I done a command prompt as well and pinged it and the response came to request timed out, which again was odd. Any ideas as to why i cannot connect to it and what is blocking me from connecting to that website?

    Thanks for any input

    charger.

Never heard of the firefox hack before, however after a little bit of reading i think and i may be wrong that BT have blacklisted this site to combat child paedophilia along with a host of other websites. However i may be wrong on this, but i would have no idea why they would suddenly stop me from viewing it barely been on it in the last few weeks, it last worked on last weekend but now it doesnt....

Well, I've tried it in all of firefox, internet explorer and opera but it doesn't work in any of them. I'm curious now. What is this site, and why is it not letting me see it?

Yh lol same, its sort of like myspace where you can make a profile so people can view it and you can view others, sort of like memories to me of old friends and family and stuff.

I have also been having the same problem and i am on BT. The only ways ive been able to get onto the site (partially) is through typing it into google and then clicking the 'cached' button... typing the site into an online translator such as 'Babelfish online translator' (google it) ... and also by typing it into a website called gizoogle.com (in the translate webpage box). However, when i do this it doesnt get anywhere past the login screen, and says my username and password is incorrect (so i havent actually signed into the site yet)

These are the ways I get around the blocks they put on certain webpages at college, so maybe its something to do with that? (if anyone konws anything about how webpages are blocked on networks maybe they can help us out a bit)

Anyway, i just signed up to the forum to post this info because ive been trying to get onto hi5 with no luck and need some help trying to figure out why!

I am on AOL and i couldnt access any belkin domain... quite ironic, as AOL didnt support belkin routers and i had a belkin router... i then phoned up belkin and changed my MTU size, on router page, and it worked fine!

The site works for me btw!
