I have been hearing a lot of bad things about eclipse recently, people are only getting 40kbps downloads on their 8mb line.
I am sorely tempted to go for Namesco or Nildram now as the connection hasn't even been established (was supposed to be done friday)

nildram are worse, if eclipse were havnig bad months it would sho up on adsl guide site but it doesnt, how long was it from when you ordered to the date of connection? or supposed connection?Originally Posted by muddyfox470
It amazes me the numbner of unsecured wifi connections there are! I've set up a few wireless setups for people and so far all of them have been able to get onto other networks, which is good for troubleshooting why some webpages don't load, just jump onto their and hope they're on a different isp and test the page from there. Can also check isp status pages for known outages as well.

Yeah, i can pick up five here.
- They all still have there defult passwords and everything.
- So i could easly rename it, asign any PSK i like, etc etc.

RIGGHHHHHT.
- Sorry its been a while, but breif reveiw of F2S.
Its been good actally, BT where a day late reconecting the phoneline, but stright away after that we got onto F2S, two days later it was good to go.
- Fired the cheap USRobtics router we'd bought, and hey-presto, our own internet contetion.
- Its worked releably thoughoout, although the wifi sometimes drops out a little, as im at the far end fo the house.
- Also, unfortualty our exchange is one 'red' status. So speeds can be a bit awfull somtimes! I delliberatly checked the status of the exchange before we got ADSL, however ofcause, i hadnt taken into account the students moving back in!
No prizes for guessing when term started!
