    isp for gaming

i have been looking at idnet because adsl guide rates them so highly, but im told the line im going to is a low speed one and the guy who lived there could only get 2 meg, a mate has freedom to surf and for 20 quid he gets up to 8 meg and 20 gig downloads, now with idnet i get up to 8 meg and 2 gig for 18 quid... what would u recomend alli want is a isp which is stable so i can not suffer from ping jumps, tiscali are dire.

I am sure if you are going to game for around an hour a day, in a month you would probably use more than 2gb...........

    On CSS, i use around 15-25 kb/s bandwidth i think ... which 25kb/s is 2gb in 24 hours i think!

the 2gig a month is for people who are just basic web users on a single PC really.

I am with F2S and have been of 3 1/2 years. I am rural - about 4ks from the exchange, and I have Max which actually gets me about 4 meg reliably. I find my link stable and reliable - but I don't know if it is any good for 'gaming'.
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.

    harry1,

im sure you will get a fairly quick reply from somebody, and they can help you. i imagine it may be to do with the contention ratio, but im not sure.

Harry1 some ppl don't like adsl max due to problems with it at the mo so they get normal 2mb.
