Slow net

I thought my internet was running a little slow (well very slow).

I ran a speed test and its downloading at 100k!!!!

Im supposed to be on 2meg what the hell!

I am on F2S and i think i may be leaving soon#

I mean i cant even contact customer services to talk to anyone!

Have heard bad things about Bulldog recently they got taken over by C&W last year and apparently it has gone downhill since, had 2mb Prime time off Bulldog with static IP 3 years ago and they were great.

Went on ADSLGUIDE and compared F2S with BULLDOG and BY (Coz I have that now) and F2S score above Bulldog by a significant amount. BY scored above them all....

I take it you arent in a cable area?

Is it an ongoing speed problem? Have you tried rebooting your modem/router? Tried www.broadbandspeedtest.co.uk as well? Are you virus/trojan/spyware free? Sorry I know I'm probably teaching granny to suck eggs but you never know!

You might have just been unlucky when you did the speedtest and there was quite a lot of activity in your area slowing it down.

I think it was just a glitch - was trying to watch a video so ended up ranting on here

I need to sort out my phone and internet though.

I can get NTL, im just a bit confused cause its so complicated!!

Every ISP can have its off days, if you are getting consistanty bad service then show them with your money, and migrate so somone better, I recomend IDnet.net who have been consitantly fantastic for the time I have been with them.
