    Voyager 2091

It would appear that the CD and sleave miss-match slightly.

Have followed the instructions and installed it, put uin the username and password suppllied by bt and when it tries to connect to the net it fails.

I've checked the router itself and even after running the config the router seems to think that it needs to connect with the name voyager2091.user@btbroadband.com
Now, is this right, does the router connect by itself and then you log in via its connection?
Seems a bit odd to me..
Also got a homehub with this and its plugged in and sat there flashing, nothing else has been done to it, could this be effecting it?

the router needs the login info so it can connect to the net, thats it, once the router logs onto the net you browse like your on a local network, no login needed as the routers done that part for you

make sure you uninstall all old BT software b4 you carry on, if your hooking it up via the network socket then you need no software on the PC to view the internet (cept internet explorer)

Yeah thats what I thought, yet the logon name they've given him is an @bt.yahoo.com one which it spits out as its presumably locked to btbroandband...
Hmmm, so for some reason then the install software isnt sending the information to the router..
There isnt anything else on the machine as tis a new out of the box job.

This should work with the earlier models,

connect the modem to your PC via ethernet and ensure the dsl line is connected

load up your web browser and type in http://192.168.1.1 to access the control panel

Select the QUICK START menu, and then select disconnect

A screen now loads up to enter your own ISP username and password

After entering your details click connect
    any use?

    hacked formware as well.. http://corz.org/public/docs/comms/ro...irmware-v1.zip

if your going to upload the hacked firmware then make sure you backup the firmware thats on there at the mo, you know the routine

Aye, using RJ45, was originally wifi but as that didnt work I tried hard wired, as that didnt work I figured I'd ask but the guys rang me and the un/pw that abdul in srilanka gave him the first time round was wrong, he tried ringing bt but after being on the phone for 25 minutes he was told that the person that picked the phone up couldnt help him as there system was down which I found rather nice, they cant help u as theres a system error, would be nice to change the message and let you know that instead of ringing them up on your mobile, being on hold and then being told they cant help you....
Will pop round later and see where I get.
its possible that its going to be a different issue, he was on BT, then moved to Talk-Talk, then back to BT, he's rang BT up before and been told he's not a customer of theres and that he's an Orange customer and when he went back to BT they told him that he'd never left...

Well, having spent an hour on the phone to sri lanka again and talking to a nice woman that seemed to ignore me when I said I'd already checked cables, disabled and enabled everything and tried this that and the other she had me take the RJ45 cable out both ends, swap them round and then put it back, ping this, ping that etc etc etc, she put us back on hold twice while she checked details and various other things like BT's wonderful from the office line test she gave me one wonderful bit of information.
    The bloody thing isnt activated.
So, 2 days, about 3 hours on the phone talking slowly to someone that thinks you have less knowledge than them they finally get to the bottom of the problem, yet BT said it would be activated on the 20th...

    Nice..
