    nildram dns problems?

    Hey Guys,

Basically, some websites work, some dont. Router is a DG834GT and has been working flawlessly since i set it up here in July. Sometimes a reset appears to solve the problem, but (for example) now i cant access bbc.co.uk or lots of other sites - for some reason hexus is fine!

Anything I can do to resolve the problem? it seems to be happening across all the computers

Streetster I'm glad you posted this as I was having some of the same issues recently. It was particularly bad last night!

I have the same router and I'm using nildram. In the end I switch the dns over to open dns http://www.opendns.com/ and everything settled down.

Hope that helps and glad to see its not my router or network as I thought last night!

Also been having some really bad problems where the line just goes dead?

The router shows that it is connected but nothing with DL/UL
So i have to reboot the router each time as it will not work if i just try to re-connect?

Also almost every morning my line is dropped so i have to re-connect... What is going on Nildram?

We had this when we were regraded from 1mb up to 2mb... got a BT engineer out who fitted a new master socket and it solved the problem

I'm glad its not just me too! I'll have a look at this opendns thing, and hopefully that'll tide us over until nildram/pipex sort out the problem at their end of things.

    Cheers guys!
