Request for suggestions - networking / wireless

Current situation at my friends house:
It's a big old stately manner type place, very thick walls.
    Quite a number of bedrooms.

Got Sky broadband (wireless netgear GT based router) installed, and 1 laptop & 3 desktops, all of which have wireless (did my homework, the desktops have the relevant netgear wirelss GT cards).
2 of the desktops get a good signal but the furthest bedroom is too far with only just intermittent signal but not enough to lock on to.

Have 3 options, which is best?
    1) Ethernet over power, to provide internet to the furthest room. Cost 75 quid
    2) A wireless range extender - problem is i cant find a netgear one and am reluctant to mix netgear & d-link (or whatever)
    3) another, cheapish netgear router and try to run it in some sort of access or bridge only mode.

    Opinions please?

Go with 1 - it'll be the simplest and in your situation most reliable method.

Yeah, thought so, plus i can keep it all netgear.
Just got to convince my friend it's worth the extra.

    Cheers

I'd agree with option 1 as the easiest and most hassle free.

Just got a couple myself and had no probs at all

Went for Devolo brand as it had 3 years warranty and is firmware upgradeable too!
