So you all know about my woes with Agros, the stupefyingly inept service they have and how stuff goes on back-order for months...
Well I have reaped my rewengie, as Blackadder would put it, by taking my custom elsewhere, and no, it wasn't to that paragon of Swedish 'style', IKEA.
Actually, just what is about IKEA that have everyone so enthralled? Are you forgetting that this is a company from the same country that gave us a decade of bearded pop with ABBA? And that's not to mention Volvo, the only car company in the world to make cars using just one design tool, a set sqaure.
But I digress, the original point being I went elsewhere for my much needed desks.
By pure chance a visit to Staples rewarded me with two bloody brilliant desks.
Comprising of a steel frame with tempered glass surfaces, you get two desks, one with a built in monitor shelf running the full width. You also get a full width keyboard shelf which can be bolted onto either desk and a corner joining kit to link both halves up... all for under £80!
So I got two, cos I'm a greedy bugger and cos I run a LOT of kit... and now I'm like McDonlads and la,la,la,la... lovin' it.
The next bit of cool news is that my home network is finally coming together. In Vista my network map looks like a new part of the tube map with my Vista PC, the MCE 2005 and an XP PC all on there... then there's the gaming rig, the file server, laptop and the two Xbox 360s...
You know, I could just gaze at my network map all day... it's so nice to have it all finally connected and running.
Now all I have to do is get into my router and figure out how to throttle the damn bandwidth to my eldest's PC as her constant MSN voice and video calling is spanking my connection and I want that Stranglehold demo now, not in an hour!
