    M+S food?

You've all seen the adverts about how this isn't just food, this is M+S food...

Well, in my book a packet of Hob Nobs is a packet of Hob Nobs, no matter where I buy them from.

Except when you buy them from M+S.

The packet felt a bit 'loose' when I bought them... but I opened them to find the top four broken, the packet full of crumbs and basically buggered.

    So I took them back.

One new packet later and the same thing. So back again and a third packet. Still buggered. So I got a refund.

Now Hob Nobs are the hardmen of the biscuit world. They can take a pounding and not get hairline cracks like Rich Tea. They don't suffer internal fractures like Shortbread and for dunking, they absolutely cannot be beaten.

But it seems M+S has found a way to reduce the mighty Hob Nobs to the same level as all other biscuits... which I suppose makes for a more exciting dunk as there's a good chance half your biscuit will fall back into the cup.

Footnote: Oh, and you know that 2 can dine in for £20 offer they have on... forget it. Not one store that I've been in actually has stock of everything... and I've only found one that has one thing in each course.... and if you don't buy three courses, you don't get the discount deal, so you end up paying more for two courses and a bottle of wine. This isn't just misleading advertising, this is M+S misleading advertising.

we popped in to look at the 2 for £20 offer a while back, despite the selection being nothing that we would consider, you couldn't get to the very small fridge stocking said items as it seemed a bus trip from the over 80's club had mistook it for there bus stop.

problem is with the M&S deal is you have to get there quick cause stock runs out so fast. Its amazing how many people go for it its not any better than Tescos just eat or the sainsburys version (they are basically posh ready meals)
I have to say the deal is OK but usually im mad hungry after so either im a pig or the portions arent big enuff

    Permanently confused

    It's probably both

Not to rain on Nick's parade, but if he ever expected something advertised as a good deal to be a good deal for him, as opposed to for the seller, he's letting capitalism slide by him unannounced.
