    eSATA on EVGA 680i mobo

    Hey,

I have a friend with a eVGA 680i motherboard, who just bought an eSATA external hdd. He can't find an eSATA port on the back of the computer, but the manual says that his board is "eSATA" ready. Any ideas about what he has to do?

    Thanks

If there isn't one in the box you can get them off ebay for about £4

They are on a PCI Breacket and are in the box with the 4 extra USB's and the Firewire one.

Re: eSATA on EVGA 680i mobo

sry to dredge this up, but I have the board and didnt get an esata bracket.
Plus i think you have to make sure ahci is enabled in the bios - also remember that some of the later bios revisions DO make it esata ready...the early ones werent.
