£120 difference for 100mhz on the memory and 80mhz on the core to me is a waste of money, I doubt there is much difference in performance either
Edit: the one he has chosen is only 209 anyway, so no probs there.

My point is the BFG is amongst the cheapest at £192..the overclocking is nice and the warranty is awesome.
I'll probably end up going with the BFG card unless SCAN doesn't get it in stock for a while.
It's infact saving me money and as you said the extended warranty will be nice.
My current card (Asus v9999 nVidia 6800GT) only died about 1-2 months after the warranty ran out, 3 years isn't too bad though, it served me well.

Coincidence? i think not
The BFG's overclock goes even further really easily with riva tuner. Iv got mine running with clock at 600 and mem at 1800(ddr speed) doesnt seem to make any great noticable difference in performance but i think i cud push it a bit further. Would be nice to know if you can overclock the stream proccesser thingy...
Right I think I'll be getting the following parts:
(Just using SCAN for links )
Intel Core 2 Duo E6400, Socket 775, 2.13 GHz
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=430632
2GB (2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400 (800)
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=255300
320MB BFG Technology 8800GTS Overclocked
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=545050
Gigabyte GA 965P-DS3 iP965, S775
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=437659
The RAM might well change if I go to a different site to order
The other parts will more than likely not as they seem to be good stuff
Does everyone think I'm good to order? (When I find £40 from god knows where :/)

Seems like a good budget gaming rig..go for it...as long as you're sure about the E6400.. that would save you the £40..maybe £20
change the ram for Geil from overclockers..£117 for pc6400 low latency..cant go wrong
Yer get the 6300 and just turn it up to 6400 speeds only 270 odd mhz difference and saves you like £27.
edit: Damn it.. i just got paid today and wanna buy that stuff plus some water cooling :S mehhh

I did buy most of my recent build from scan...but got my psu and ram from overclockers and it was here when it was supposed to be. They let me call and change my delivery dates etc.. after i messed up. They were very friendly and helpful.
...plus..that ram is solid you wont have a problem with it.
Was that after you told them you only lived a few miles away and threatened to burn down their warehouse?
Personally, every time I've had a problem with hardware I bought from them it's cost me money, time, effort, and headaches when dealing with them. All they care about is getting money and keeping it.
Overclockers is only useful as a local store with online ordering...
Still a pain in the arse to get to though by car... past all the potteries
LOL @ potteries
Well I ordered online...from over 80 odd miles away as I dont live up there at the moment.
Came when they said it would, well packed etc..
but yes i would use the I live local thing if they had messed around
