    Fans

hehe its ages since I've been on the forum

I'm going to order 1x80mm fan, 1x120mm fan and 1xCPU fan but is it really worth spending £30 on fans just to shut up my computer? Any replies will be very welcome

Edit: Not really the right place for this but LOL
    With love and many thanks,

Got 2x120mm Silverstones, 1x92mm Silverstone, and a couple of Ambers, and the silverstones can be as quiet as the ambers, and as powerful as Deltas if required.

Gone on are the days when you just picked a fan and plugged it in

I've just been comparing some 120mm fans - the winner gets a place in the P180

No experience of the Silverstones myself but Komplett are doing the Orange Nexus for £6 plus delivery (£5 )

Make sure you give it adequate airflow

I think getting a fan controller in the long run is a very good idea, since when you need more airflow crank it up otherwise leave it low for normal operation works for me.

how much does noise annoy you? one person's perception of acceptable noise is too much for another..

I bought the fans in 3 lots, mainly cause my otherones started dying, and it was getting a bit toasty. Whether I'd spend the same money over again is questionable, but they've been running 24x7 for over a year and are still going strong
