okay-sorry I answered this myself I thought it was a vague but actually it's quite specific it says-
AM2+ chips will be limited to the specifications of Socket AM2 (HyperTransport 2.0 at the speed of 1 GHz, one power plane for both Cores and IMC).
current boards are faster than 1 GHz.. woot !

it says that the next socket will have hyper transport 3 and there's all kinds of forwards and backwards compatibility...
most mainboards have 2 GB hyper transport nowadays which is the same as AM2+...
