In view of the shortage of Arctic cooler pro, any suggestions on a decent CPU cooler at a sensible price? Or is it worth waiting until Scan have stock?

Does it say how long you would have to wait?
Its just that they are meant to be fantastic coolers and great value for money. Well, I'm talking about the Arctic Cooling 7 Pro - is that the same one that you where talking about?
Yes indeed - it's what everyone seems to recommend! I want to get my e4300 to the next level...!
HEhe you are going to overclock it? If you have the stock cooler, you could just use that and run at normal stock speeds while you wait for the Arctic Cooler. I read that CPU's like to have some time to settle before they get overclocked anyway.
There are other coolers you could get of course. But its just that from what I've read and seen, the Arctic Cooling 7 Pro is kind of in a league of its own - value for money wise. It cools pretty well, and is a bargain. To get that kind of cooling, you usually need to pay a fair bit more.
Fair enough. I have it running at 2.7 at the moment with the stock cooler (coretemp at 51C). Runs at 3Ghz but gets a little hot (63C).
Wow looks like you are doing well already. If I was you, I'd just wait for that Arctic Cooling 7 Pro. Then you can put it up to 3Ghz and it should be under 60C which is perfect And it would only cost you £15 quid odd, or whatever that Arctic Cooler is nowdays.
Apparently due in today......I'll wait until they have confirmed stock I guess.
Nice! If you have time, let us know what temperature you manage with a 3ghz overclock. I'd really appreciate that anyway. I have an Arctic Cooling 7 Pro by the way, but I think I might have messed it up a bit when I was fitting it, because my temperatures are rubbish. Everyone else gets excellent temperatures with it. But anyway, I'd love to know what you get. It would let me know what I'm missing out on
I'm gonna get two - one for 4300 and one for the 6420 and see what happens!
I've got one preordered so hopefully I'll get one today when they get them stock.
