    lol, kinda like me. i dont like playing at highest res's even tho the pc can do it i feel if i play at those res with min i get more performance

    the intel will last you a long while i'd say. you can always upgrade some later. its already 1 year into its lifetime , if you wanted to you could wait and see what amd has to offer in Q3/sept. they'll have am2/am3. all down to you though.

    true but like i've said, core2duo is coming up to its 1 year mark. and the newer revised parts are coming out. so you'll buy this and it might be retired from the intel force sooner than you'd think. i made that mistake by getting socket 939 in 2006. of course theres always something better round the corner but if its right right round the corner then its better to wait. like now, i wouldnt buy a 8800gtx/gts because the new hd2900 xt ati card is out, prices are gonna reduce. stuff like that if you know when could help. but if you cant wait then go buy it if you want to. you still wont regret it

    from what i have been reading the hd2900 cards arnt that good but who knows and yes im an impatient bastard

    well go for it man!
    even tho im an amd fan, i prefer nvidia cards. but now theyve bought it i feel that buying a nvidia card is helping the enemy
    ah what the hell, they shudda bought nvidia. they'll survive.

    i used to be an amd man too from my first k6-2 to the last pc i built around a tbird

    i then gave up on pc's as working as a net admin during the day i rapidly started to hate everything IT lol

    well, i just ordered 2 spinpoints sp2504c, they are outta stock but they are one of the fastest 250gb hard drives available. id recommend them, but they are outta stock at scan right now tho

    SPCR forumsfolk say the Samsung HD501LJ is pretty quiet. Also check Tom's hardware HDD charts, you should see it is fast as well.

    thank you for all the help think i have decided on a scythe infinity to cool the c2d with as well i hope this will actually all work and at lease allow me to play c&c3 in more than 800x600

    well thats decent. if you got some extra £'s and you want to overclock good id recommend the thermalright ultra only £10 more with a good fan. but i doubt you're an enthusiast
