    Antec Nine Hundred

Alright peeps, a quick question for all you people with the antec nine hundred case. Before I buy it I just wanted to know what the blue LED's were like? i.e are they intensive? More importantly are they annoying? lol

    any feedback would be great

nice pics dude, i was just wondering cos its gonna be seated on my desk right next to me, about 1 foot away! Thought the lights could get annoying.

Ive ordered it just now from ebuyer with google checkout, quite cheap for the case! looking forward to hooking it up.

by the way, just one last question...how noisy are the fans? ive got mixed feedback about this from other various forums with some people saying its really quiet considering the fans but other people say its relatively loud lol, whats ur take on it?

On low, the fans are very quiet. However, on high I would say they are too loud to be comfortable with.

If you are worried about fan noise and the brightness of the LEDs, I strongly recommend switching out the stock case fans for Nexus Real Silent fans or Yate Loon D12SL-12 fans. They dont have any LEDs and run extremely quiet. You would be very pleased with them
But see if the stock case fans are ok first, as you may find them fine.

Yea, the Nexus Real Silent and Yate Loon D12SL-12 fans are quite hard to find in the UK. They are effectively exactly the same as each other, but the Nexus run at a slightly lower rpm, so run slightly quieter but move slightly less CFM. They are basically identical so just get whichever you can get cheapest.

Here are some link of where to buy:

    Nexus Real Silent 12cm:
    £4.72 : http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/s...tml?NEX-S12CMF
KustomPCs also sell them, but at a much higher price of £12 each (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_2578.html)

    Yate Loon D12SL-12:
    £5.49 : http://www.chilledpc.co.uk/shop/prod...roducts_id=129

I am planning to import my Yate Loon D12SL-12 fans from the USA. I am paying about £35 to import 10 of them (thats including shipping etc).
I am getting them from jab-tech.
You can get them in black or orange, they are identical but different colours so I would get the black ones as they are slightly cheaper:
    Orange: http://www.jab-tech.com/YATE-LOON-12...e-pr-3472.html
    Black: http://www.jab-tech.com/YATE-LOON-12...2-pr-3009.html

    Hope this helps

Yeah. I got a nine-hundered from ebuyer using google checkout and came it less than 24h. It's a great deal, one of the best cases available imo. Bit weighty though and even at low settings the tri-cool fans could be quiter. No 3pin mobo connectors either so might be worth switching a few. LEDs are quite bright but nothing compared to usual room lighting or daylight. I think they give a nice moodlighting to the room at night.

Keeps my case at ~3* above room temp usually will all fans on low at a decent overclock on all parts. Very very impressed.

    Great looking also.

I have the fans on their lowest and the are barely audible, you won't need them any higher than low.
