Trouble with the front USB ports on my new case.

I've just moved my computer into a new case, the new case has 4 USB ports at the front. Now I assumed all I needed to do to get these to work was to plug the leads on to the headers on the mb, but this does not seemed to have worked

Is there anything else I have to do? I've never had a case with USB ports at the front before, first new case in a long time. So I might have missed something.

    Thanks for any help

It's a pita but you might need to check the wiring of the leads. in your mobo manual & your case instructions you should be able to see the wiring diagrams. Connecting the front usb leads to the mobo usb headers , used to be quite an issue If you're having problems with USB ports, read on... but it doesn't seem to be such an issue these days.

Hey same for my new build........just disconnected the USB mouse from the back and it wont work in the front.

Problem solved, inside the case the lead was connected to the 1394 header instead......erm not foolproof as I could connect it....................foolish designers.
