i have a 8600gt and a 400w psu and case already so this is more of a huge upgrade, any thoughts compatability issues?

is it worth getting the arctic cooler or is stock ok, i might overclock alittle..
also do u think the e6750 might drop more in price soon?
any thoughts on the mobo?

the stock cooler is fine if you wont be overclocking (or dabbing at it a *little*), but if you want to test how far you can take it you'll definately need aftermarket cooling.

do i need some sort of thermal paste for it? can u recommend any from scan if so, i thought that would be provided with the cooler?

the stock cooler comes with thermal gunk pre-applied, iirc the Arctic cooler has gunk pre-applied as well, but it's always handy to keep some Acrtic Silver 5 laying around in case you need to reseat the cooler. It's silly cheap and last years anyway.

i'd get the freezer 7 pro anyway cuz it will keep your cpu nice and cold. i had one before and its great not to mention how cheap it is hehehe

slight proplem came up, i just realised i have two ide devices a dvd burner and harddrive and this board only comes with one ide slot, is there any way around this?

well 1 IDE port will connect to 2 devices remember, but depending on how your case is laid out you may need to put the drive next to the burner so that the cable connects to both.

Get a SATA burner? (since it's cheaper), although you can grab a 500Gb SATA HDD for next to nothing these days.

You can do that, but it's generally a bad idea to have the HDD and burner on the same channel, IDE isn't very efficent.

the burner is a new dl ls i just purchased and my hd is going to be for storage not an os as i have a sata hd aswel, i could put my hd up to where the burner is do u think the new round ide cables are any better than the normal flat ones, what problems could i have using one cable for a burner and hd?

Generally none as such, as if its only being used for storage, you shouldn't really notice any performance difference, round cables are generally better (in the same way that sata cables are better) as they are thinner and so allow much better airflow in the case.

If the IDE disk is just going to be used for storage then it'll be fine.

or you could just get an ide to sata converter, also the round cables are the same thing as the flat ones
