No compatibility problems that I know about. I will suggest something, if you have a PCI card in slot 4.. move it.

AFAIK there are no compatibility problems between the NF7-S and the 9700pro, as many people have this configuration. The SB live will indeed be redundant, as the onboard nvidia sound is diolby digital standard.
ah, but like i said i need the live drive
also, could never get the spdif working on the nforce 2 i have
can u get it working on the abit?
The abit Nforce2 is indead a sweet mobo.. so much infact i have no need for the PCI cards (Audio, Network...) so the only thing i got in there atm is the GFX card
I cant fault the sound at all, it reallt is better than alot of the PCI soloutions

just ordered it today as the cpu runs fine on mates epox nf2 board
need to use my live drive though to connect my rec player to pc. Also had probs with spdif out on my msi board
